What Spurs and Liverpool fans cannot take to the Wanda Metropolitano for Champions League final

Thousands of football fans are set to assemble in Madrid ahead of this weekend’s Champions League final between Tottenham and Liverpool.

The Reds are chasing their sixth European Cup, while Spurs are aiming to become only the second London side to lift the famous trophy - following in the footsteps of Chelsea.

It is important to be aware of the rules and laws that will be in place for the Champions League final, particularly regarding what is and is not allowed inside the stadium.

What is banned?

Flares and fireworks are not allowed to be taken into the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium and are also not permitted in either of the fan zones. The Spanish police have the right to intervene and confiscate flares or fireworks, while they can also prevent entry to the stadium.

Alcohol is also not allowed to be brought into the stadium and it is important to be aware that drinking alcohol on the streets in Spain or on the Metro is not permitted. Those found guilty of either can be arrested and fined.

You are also not allowed to bring any cans, glass, bottle tops or containers over ½ a litre into the stadium.

Supporters without tickets

Supporters without tickets are advised that there will be screening on the game in either the Fan Zones or the Festival areas.

Entrance to the Ground

At the match

- Tottenham fans with general tickets will access the Metropolitano Stadium through gate 17, located in the North end of the stadium (FONDO NORTE).

- Liverpool fans with general tickets will access the Metropolitano Stadium through gate 3, located in the South end of the stadium (FONDO SUR).

Anyone who is obviously drunk or bearing racist insignia will be denied access to the stadium.

While one set of supporters may be kept behind for around 20-30 minutes after the match to allow the other set of fans to disperse. This will be decided by the Spanish Police on match day.

Not allowed in the stadium

- Banners bearing political slogans will not be permitted inside the stadium.

- Flares

- Fireworks

- Alcohol - cans, glass, bottle tops or containers over 1/2 litre are not allowed in the stadium.
