What shows brighten up your darker days?

Nobel peace laureate Aung San Suu Kyi has revealed an unlikely lifeline during her years in household captivity, telling the Radio Times that Dave Lee Travis's BBC World Service request show "made my world much more complete". The Burmese opposition leader added: "I would listen ... quite happily because the listeners would write in and I had a chance to hear other people's words."

DLT himself reacted with surprise, as did many others who associate Aung San Suu Kyi more with the noble causes of human rights and democracy. "It just goes to show that these people have normal moments as well as political ones," said the DJ.

Is there a radio show you find solace in? Or perhaps there's a TV show that brings you light relief in darker moments?
