What should the Steelers do with Ryan Shazier?

The Pittsburgh Steelers are going to have some difficult decisions to make in free agency in the offseason. But none might be more difficult for the team and fans to reconcile than that of linebacker Ryan Shazier.

Shazier has missed the last two seasons as he continues to recover from a horrific back injury. In 2018, the Steelers honored Shazier’s fifth-year option and paid him $8.718 million while he was on IR.

Last season the Steelers signed Shazier to a one-year contract, paying him $473,000. This offseason Pittsburgh will once again have to decide where they stand with Shazier and his potential comeback.

As remarkable as Shazier’s story has been, he and the team will eventually have to decide if Shazier is capable of playing again or do both parties take a different approach. And that is the question we ask today.

Cast your vote and tell us what you think the Steelers front office should do about Shazier’s contract for next season and beyond.
