What should I do to play on centre courts: Daniil Medvedev

Daniil Medvedev slammed tournament organisers for scheduling, he wasn't on the Rod Laver Arena for successive rounds.

The world No. 2, who played American Maxime Cressy on the Margaret Court Arena, came out strongly on court allotment at the Australian Open. The Russian, the reigning US Open champion, came through the fourth-round match in four sets.

"I really don't know what I should do to play on centre courts in Grand Slams, I won the last Grand Slam. I'm the highest seed here," a fuming Medvedev said. "To play against Maxime would be easier on Rod Laver, more space. It's tougher on a smaller court."

Medvedev, who made the Australian Open final last year, said he hadn't approached the organizers.

"I don't want to put pressure on anybody. I rarely ask for time or the court unless somebody comes to me and says, where you want to play and when," he said.

The Russian had put in a request at Melbourne Park for choice of court once. "Maybe I have to ask every time," he said. "But I don't want to be the guy who says, put me on Rod Laver or I'm gonna be unhappy."
