What Shoes Is Tiger Woods Wearing?
Tiger Woods is currently wearing a pair of shoes from his Sun Day Red line. We are yet to confirm the name of this shoe, but it appears to have a classic-style design, similar to the FootJoy Premiere shoes he had been wearing before the move. Woods debuted the shoes and apparel line at the Genesis Invitational early in 2024 and he gave us a look at both the black and white finishes of the shoe as you can see from the images in this piece.
What is Sun Day Red I hear you ask? Well in January this year Woods split with Nike, following a 27-year partnership and since then Woods created the Sun Day Red brand in partnership with TaylorMade.
An official website, sundayred.com, went live and it appears the line will go live on that site on the 1st May 2024. Further details on the site reveal that the the brand will also offer "luxury logo tees, fleece and hats" for everyday wear. At the time of the announcement many asked why Woods didn't opt for his iconic 'TW' logo but Woods was quick to say he had moved on.
Speaking at the launch event in Los Angeles that week, Woods said now was the right time for a change.
“It’s the right time in my life,” he said. “It’s transitional. I’m not a kid any more. I want to have a brand I’m proud of going forward. Sunday red – it’s me. It started with mom (Kultida). She thought being a Capricorn that my power color was red, so I wore red as a junior golfer and I won some tournaments.
“Lo and behold, I go to a university that is red, Stanford is red. We wore red on the final day of every single tournament, and then every single tournament I’ve played as a professional I’ve worn red. It’s just become synonymous with me.”
Previously, Woods had been using a pair of FootJoy's Premiere Series Packard shoes which caused quite the stir at the 2022 Masters tournament. Additionally Tiger had worn various models from the Nike Air Zoom Tiger Woods golf shoe line as well, chiefly the 13 and 20 models which are still worn out on Tour by players now. For example world number one Scottie Scheffler still opts for the TW 20 shoes. All these previous models of shoe you can still buy at the moment but you will have to wait until the start of May to get your hands on the Sun Day Red shoes!
When can I buy Tiger Woods Sun Day Red shoes?
The simple answer to this question is May 1st 2024. The shoes, as well as the rest of the Sun Day Red line of apparel and accessories, will go on sale on the official website. Additionally it appears this will be the only place to buy this gear too.
