Arsenal's Europa League campaign is off to the best possible start.
Having beaten Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0 on matchday one a fortnight ago, the Gunners welcomed Standard Liege to the Emirates Stadium on Thursday night looking to make it two wins from two.
And they did just that with relative ease.
A brace from Gabriel Martinelli as well as Joe Willock's second goal is as many Europa League appearances had the host 3-0 up at the break and they just had to avoid complacency.
Which they did.
Dani Ceballos made it 4-0 with his first Arsenal goal early in the second half and that proved to be the end of the scoring despite Emery bringing on extra firepower in Nicolas Pepe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The other pleasing aspect of the performance was the north London outfit keeping their third clean sheet of the season.
Interestingly, the only outfield player to have played in all of those games is none other than Shokdran Mustafi.
Having come close to leaving in the summer transfer window, the German is proving to be somewhat of a lucky charm for the Gunners when it comes to keeping the back door locked.
Speaking after the win over Frankfurt last month, Mustafi made clear that his focus remains on Arsenal and that he is relaxed over what might come next.
"My father, who is my agent, spoke to the club," he told Sport BILD. "I am an Arsenal player and [I have] still got two years' contract.
"I've never been someone who begins a war when something doesn't work out. I always said: 'If it is possible, I am open to take the next step. If not, I keep playing my football.'
"The manager said he sees me the same way he sees every player in the team. That's why I played today and that's it.
"We [are] going to see what the future holds."
With the partnership of Sokratis and David Luiz yet to keep a clean sheet, would it be worth bringing in Mustafi for Premier League games?
