A new study suggests that people spend an average of £1,600 per year on purchases that we then conceal from others. Alcohol was also on the list. We want you to own up about your wasteful spending. What have you frittered away money on, and hidden from a loved one? Have you bought a ridiculous kitchen item that gathers dust in a cupboard? Did you buy a dress that you swore you’d lose weight to wear but never did? Maybe you keep buying DIY tools, but don’t really know how to use them. Confess to your most shameful secret buys.
