His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun has granted an extension of visitation until Dec 31, with hopes that those who live in the provinces will have an opportunity to witness the finest Thai craftsmanship on display. Besides the royal crematorium, there is also a comprehensive exhibition, which chronicles the life of King Rama IX, with topics ranging from his childhood to achievements in science, Buddhism and international relations. In smaller open-air pavilions, the art of creating the crematorium is displayed, with videos displaying the artists at work.
