What's the weather going to be like where you live on Christmas Day? And could it snow?

Christmas is just around the corner. 

People are busy doing their last minute shopping and getting their final plans in place before December 25.

But will it be a white Christmas in 2020?

According to the Met Office, the answer is probably not.

Across the region, temperatures are expected to hover around 5C on Friday.

Expect conditions to be mainly dry with the odd outbreak of sunshine.

Here is a borough-by-borough look at what the weather will bring on Christmas Day, according to the Met Office.

Rochdale

Temperatures around 6C.

Some sunshine in the morning, followed by light showers in the evening.

Bury

Temperatures around 5C.

A grey start with a mixture of sunshine and cloud in the morning. Spells of rain in the evening.

Oldham

Average temperatures of 4C.

Mainly cloudy with a sunny outbreak around 9am. Potential for light showers in the evening.

Manchester

Mercury levels around 6C. Some sunshine in the morning.

Wigan

Around 6C. Cloudy for most of the day, with an outbreak of sunshine around 9am.

Bolton

Temperatures around 5C. Cloudy with some bright spells around mid-morning.

Salford

Around 6C. Overcast but with a potential for some sun in the morning.

Trafford

Temperatures should be around 6C. Cloudy with some sun in the morning.

Stockport

Temperatures around 5C. Cloudy with sunshine in the morning. Rain at around 9pm.

Tameside

Around 5C. Some sunny outbreaks mid-morning.
