What's the point?' - Spurs fans question Jose Mourinho's late decision against Bayern Munich

Tottenham Hotspur have finished the group stage of their Champions League campaign with a 3-1 loss against Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

Goals from Kingsley Coman, Thomas Muller and Phillipe Coutinho were enough to cancel out Ryan Sessegnon's equaliser on his full debut for Tottenham.

Spurs had already sealed their place in the last 16 of the competition, so went into the game knowing that the result wouldn't have an impact on their progression.

It meant that the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli could be rested, with neither being named by Jose Mourinho in the match day squad ahead of the busy Christmas schedule.

Tottenham train ahead of Bayern Munich

One name that was included on the bench was young striker Troy Parrott. The 17-year-old has made waves in the youth teams and on international stage for Ireland so far this season.

Tottenham fans showed their displeasure at Parrott not being selected to start the game vs Bayern Munich .

However, with two substitutes already made, Mourinho's third and final change of the night saw Victor Wanyama replacing captain for the night Eric Dier in midfield.

Much to the bemusement of onlooking Tottenham fans, who took to social media to give their thoughts on Parrott's snub by Mourinho.

Parrott has two first-team appearances this season, playing 66 minutes of the Carabao Cup match vs Colchester United, and coming on for the final five minutes of the 5-0 victory over Burnley in the Premier League.
