Before you decide let's run down a couple of popular chippies in Leeds to make a start - starting with family-run The Skyliner which was voted the best in the Leeds Loves awards. Famous for its delicious fish, warm atmosphere and great value.
Local celebrity/food review legend Danny Malin said the chips and potatoes were "absolutely beautiful" and "the fish itself is a massive piece of fish. Beautiful crispy batter.”
You may think, no brainer, decision made but there are some big contenders.
We did some digging on TripAdvisor and Murgatroyds in Yeaton sits at the top spot. One reviewer described the fish and chip haven as "unique" with "bright surroundings and attentive service only add to the enjoyment."
