
Robinson Property's Mike Flook has reported the $1.281 million sale of a block of three units with a weekly income stream of $870 at 5 Frederick Street in Merewether.
Mr Flook said the property had two buyers competing for it after one day of being listed for sale last month and described its sale above the $1.2 million guide as a "good result".
In Tighes Hill, PRD Newcastle and Lake Macquarie's Jeremy Allwood sold a 1900s three-bedroom cottage at 25 Tighes Terrace within 10 days of being listed for sale.
It was marketed with a guide of $695,000 and Mr Allwood reported 14 inspections, three interested parties and four offers on the property with a local first home buyer securing the city fringe cottage for $725,000.

Belle Property Charlestown reported 72 enquiries before a four-bedroom "Hamptons-inspired" residence in a quiet location at 25 Chelston Street, Warners Bay was sold for $820,500 within 14 days of being on the market.
Other recent sales included $1.225 million for a four-bedroom house on a block 885 square metres in size backing on to Merewether Golf Course at 60 Henry Street, sold by PRD prior to auction.
There were seven registered bidders for the online auction of a five-bedroom, three-bathroom house at 17 Boatmans Row in Eleebana which PRD marketed and was sold under the hammer for $1.19 million.
A three-bedroom apartment in the Herald complex at 501/60 King Street, Newcastle was sold by First National Newcastle City for $1.375 million.
