What's Selling: A new price high set for New Lambton's St James Road

The $1.47 million sale of a contemporary residence in a private pocket of New Lambton has set a new price high for St James Road.

Tammy Hawkins, of McGrath Newcastle City, marketed the stylish four-bedroom, three-bedroom home at No.231. It had a Caesarstone kitchen, multiple indoor and outdoor living options, a four-car garage plus a spacious master wing. According to Australian Property Monitors data, the previous highest sale for St James Road was $1.355 million in 2016.

A five-bedroom brick home at 2 Chelston Close in Charlestown that had been in the same family for 42 years and was listed by McKiernan Real Estate with a guide of $700,000 to $750,000 was reportedly secured for $760,000 within 24 hours on the market.

First National Newcastle City's George Rafty sold a three-bedroom brick house on a block 1037 square metres in size at 25 Jones Avenue in Warners Bay for $870,000.
