What's opening in theaters next week

MOVIES

Opening Friday:

"Jack Reacher: Never Go Back" (PG-13): Tom Cruise reprises the role of the detective hero of Lee Child's series of novels, this time trying to clear his name after being implicated in a government conspiracy.

"Denial" (PG-13): A woman (Rachel Weisz) is accused in a British court by a Holocaust denier (Timothy Spall) in this adaptation of Deborah Lipstadt's book.

"Keeping Up with the Joneses" (PG-13): Greg Mottola ("The Daytrippers") directs this comedy about a married couple (Zach Galifianakis, Isla Fisher) trying to compete with their next-door neighbors (Jon Hamm and Gal Gadot), who happen to be government secret agents.

"Ouija: Origin of Evil" (PG-13): Set in 1965, this sequel to the 2014 horror hit finds out how that silly board game became so evil.

"Tyler Perry's Boo! A Madea Halloween" (PG-13): Madea battles zombies, ghosts and killers while babysitting a group of misbehaving teens in the latest installment of Tyler Perry's comedy franchise.

In stores Tuesday:

"Cafe Society" (DVD/Blu-ray): Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart star in Woody Allen's latest comedy, set against the backdrop of 1930s Hollywood and New York.

"Independence Day: Resurgence" (DVD/Blu-ray): Aliens attack our planet again, courtesy of disaster-loving director Roland Emmerich.

"Pan's Labyrinth" (DVD/Blu-ray): Guillermo Del Toro's Oscar-winning dark fantasy gets the deluxe-edition treatment courtesy of the Criterion Collection.
