What's opening in theaters next week

MOVIES

Opening Friday:

"War Dogs": Jonah Hill and Miles Teller are the two Miami slackers who became international weapon dealers in director Todd Phillips' adaptation of the nonfiction book "Arms and the Dudes."

"Hell or High Water" (R): Jeff Bridges is the Texas sheriff on the trail of two bank-robbing brothers (Chris Pine and Ben Foster).

"Ben-Hur" (PG-13): Jack Huston is the prince accused of treason by his brother (Toby Kebell) in director Timur ("Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter") Bekmambetov's latest CGI fest.

"Kubo and the Two Strings" (PG): Charlize Theron, Matthew McConaughey, Rooney Mara and Ralph Fiennes provide the voices for this fable about a young man living in a quiet seaside town who is thrust into a fantastical world of gods and monsters.

In stores Tuesday:

"The Angry Birds Movie" (DVD/Blu-ray): The hit film adaptation of the popular cell phone game features voices by Peter Dinklage, Bill Hader and Josh Gad.

"Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia" (Blu-ray): Sam Peckinpah's gritty 1974 classic gets a limited-edition re-release in high definition.

"The Vampire Diaries: The Complete Seventh Season" (DVD/Blu-ray): Year seven in the lives of the bloodsucking brothers (Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder).
