What’s next for Titans after 2 straight days with no COVID-19 positives

After a disastrous week that saw the Tennessee Titans experience the first COVID-19 outbreak of the 2020 NFL season, the team has received some great news the past two days, as no players or personnel members tested positive for the virus on Monday or Tuesday.

So, what’s next for the Titans after this?

Well, Tennessee will now have to speak to the league to see how to proceed from here, but the hope is the team can re-open its facility on Wednesday.

It isn’t clear if the Titans would hop on the practice field right away should they re-open on Wednesday, but returning tomorrow in any form or fashion would at least give the team enough time to have a semi-normal work week at the very least ahead of the Week 5 contest against the Buffalo Bills.

From there, we’ll have to see which of the players on the Reserve/COVID-19 list — 11 players currently reside there, and eight of them were on the 53-man roster — will be ready in time to suit up on Sunday.

That will depend on symptoms, as players who are asymptomatic can return after five days, while players who have symptoms have to wait 10.

Whatever the case may be, things appear to be on track to returning to normal for the Titans, and that’s all we can ask for at this point.
