What’s next for the Philadelphia Eagles after trading Carson Wentz?

The Philadelphia Eagles gave away a haul to move up to No. 2 in the 2016 NFL Draft so they could select quarterback Carson Wentz out of North Dakota State.

Now, not even five years later, the would-be franchise savior is gone.

Of course the Eagles won a Super Bowl during Wentz’s tenure — with Nick Foles behind center. Wentz appeared in only one playoff game with the Eagles, completing 1-of-4 passes last year against the Seahawks before being knocked out of the game on a hit by Jadeveon Clowney.

Wentz is off to Indianapolis, to be reunited with Frank Reich, who was Eagles offensive coordinator for the one season in which Wentz looked like a guy worth trading up to draft.
