What’s next for Drew Brees in retirement?

Retirement won’t be quiet for Drew Brees. The longtime New Orleans Saints quarterback discussed his career change with NBC’s “Today” morning show and host Hoda Kotb, confirming previous reports that he’ll be joining the network as a sports analyst.

“I’m gonna be working for NBC, I’m part of the team now,” Brees said, smiling in a Team Gleason shirt. He’ll begin as an NFL studio analyst on NBC Sports’ Sunday “Football Night in America” show while working Notre Dame football games on Saturdays, possibly preparing him for an eventual turn on the flagship “Sunday Night Football” series a few years down the line. He’s also exploring opportunities to cover the upcoming Summer Olympics in Japan.

So Saints fans won’t have to go far to see Brees again. He’ll be sharing his insight on the sport he perfected often. If nothing else, it will be great practice for his Hall of Fame induction speech once his time in Canton, Ohio comes.
