'BRIDGET JONES'S BABY: The Diaries' by Helen Fielding. The new movie of the same name with Renee Zellweger didn't set the box office on fire. So we'll see if Bridget Jones fans embrace the fourth novel in Fielding's series, coming 20 years after the first. This latest takes place before the events of 2013's "Mad About the Boy," and finds the paternity of Bridget's baby in question. (Knopf, $22.95)
'THE CLANCYS OF QUEENS' by Tara Clancy. This affectionate, well-observed memoir by a writer and storyteller recalls a peripatetic 1980s childhood shuttling between her cop father's one-room shed in Broad Channel and her mother's Italian-American enclave in Bellerose, with regular trips out to Bridgehampton, where mom's nouveau riche boyfriend has an estate.
