'What's going on?' Spurs fans angry as winger Jack Clarke misses out on Leeds United squad again

Spurs' summer signing Jack Clarke has missed out on yet another Leeds United squad for the Championship clash against Barnsley on Sunday afternoon.

The 18-year-old was signed by Mauricio Pochettino for a fee believed to be around £10million in the summer, before immediately rejoining Leeds on loan for the season.

However, due to Football League rules surrounding the amount of loanees in a matchday squad, Clarke is yet to make a Championship appearance this season.

The youngster was on the bench for the first two games of the league season but was not brought on in either match, and he has subsequently failed to be named in any of the matchday squads for league games, appearing only in the Carabao Cup fixtures against Salford City and Stoke City.

Leeds were knocked out of the cup by Stoke, meaning Clarke has even less opportunity to find appearances under manager Marcelo Bielsa.

Clarke scored a decisive goal for the England Under-20s during the international break as they beat Switzerland 1-0, but it was not enough to convince Bielsa that he deserved a place in the Leeds squad.

As revealed by football.london , Spurs have the option to recall Clarke in January if they feel the loan is not working out and will review his situation in the winter.

Bielsa had previously indicated that Clarke would be getting more game time, but the fans are not convinced as they took to social media to complain.
