What’s being done to protect Afghans who helped foreign forces?

Nearly all US and NATO troops are expected to leave Afghanistan by September.

The Taliban is rapidly filling the power vacuum, taking huge swathes of territory with little resistance from Afghan forces.

That is particularly worrying for Afghans who worked with foreign soldiers.

Translators, contractors and their families say they are extremely vulnerable to reprisal attacks.

Many have applied to be resettled in the United States, Canada, Europe and Australia, but the procedure is often long and complicated.

So is enough being done to protect them?
