What's been cancelled due to the coronavirus in Canberra

Here's the latest advice on what has been closed (and what is going ahead) in Canberra as a result of the coronavirus concerns.

March events

• The ACT women's tennis claycourt international has been cancelled next week.
  
• The Canberra Comedy Festival Gala, which was to be held on Tuesday March 17, will be rescheduled to later this year. The outdoor events in Civic Square will not proceed. Further changes are expected to the program and updates will be provided to ticket holders.
• The Canberra Craft Beer & Cider Festival, scheduled for March 21, has been cancelled.
• Canberra Wine Week will go ahead but it is up to individual wineries to make a call on their own events. Comedy Festival-related events have been cancelled.
• Multicultural Harmony Day Peace Bell Picnic at the Park scheduled for Saturday March 21 will be cancelled and rescheduled, hopefully in September.
  
• The Cancer Council has indefinitely postponed this year's Relay For Life event which was due to be held at AIS on March 28-29.
• Canberra Symphony Orchestra's Llewellyn One: Organ Symphony will not go ahead on March 18-19.
• The Monaro Folk Society 50th anniversary celebration and Shearers Ball, due to be held on Saturday, March 28 at the Yarralumla Woolshed, has been postponed. Hopefully it will go ahead later in the year if the venue is available.
• The Canberra MS Walk Run + Roll scheduled for Sunday, March 29 has been cancelled.
• The AusIndia Fair, scheduled for March 28, has been postponed until further notice. Several other events organised by FINACT members have also been cancelled or postponed.
  
• The handmade markets planned for EPIC on March 21 and 22 will not go ahead.
• The Children's Tumour Foundation's Cupid's Undie Run, scheduled for March 22, has been cancelled. There will be an online event instead.
  
• Sunday Soccer League has cancelled the remainder of its season.
  
• The Children Tumour Foundation Cupids undie run, planned for March 22, has been cancelled.
  
• Antiques & Collectables Fair, which was to be held at Albert Hall on March 20-22 has been cancelled.
  
• The Reid Residents' Association AGM, planned for March 24, has been postponed.
• The Table in the Vines Good Food Month event at Four Winds Vineyard has been cancelled. In collaboration with Capitol Bar and Grill, the event was to be held on March 21. While the event is unlikely to be rescheduled, Capitol has released its autumn menu with plenty of Four Winds wines on the wine matching list.
  

Future events

The Canberra Times Marathon Festival has been postponed.

The running festival, planned for the weekend for April 4-5, has been pushed back until August. All registered participants will be automatically transferred to the new date.

The National Folk Festival board is meeting this weekend, but no announcements have been made at this stage.

The Australian National University is cancelling non-essential public events and social gatherings until the end of the semester, in late June.

"Essential activities related to teaching and research, including lectures, tutorials, team meetings and community support such as childcare, will continue as normal," it said.

"We will announce additional precautionary measures for classes, residential colleges and the broader work environment in coming days."

Canbeurovision will not be going ahead as planned, although organisers are hoping to hold it later.

The promoters of the 2020 Anthems Festival on March 28 have decided to cancel this year's festival. People who purchased tickets will receive a full refund directly into the account used to purchase within 14 days.

The Indian community's annual Canberra Vaishaki Mela, planned for April 5, has been cancelled. Organisers intend to reschedule it later this year.

Canberra Airport has postponed its annual open day, which was to take place on Sunday April 5.

The Artists Society of Canberra/ACT Catchments Groups art exhibition scheduled for April 17 has been cancelled but may proceed later in the year.

The Let's get to work conference that was set for May 7 and 8 has been cancelled, with the hope it will be rescheduled in October or November.

The Canberra MS 24 Hour Mega Swim scheduled for May 2 and 3 have been cancelled.
