What Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano said about Ohio State in previewing the matchup

This week, Ohio State stays on the road to take on the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, who are having the type of year that can lay the groundwork for the construction of a solid program. After many lean years, the state school of New Jersey is already bowl-eligible at 6-2 and looking to shock the world when the Buckeyes visit Saturday.

There is also a familiar face running the program for Buckeye fans, with former OSU defensive coordinator, Greg Schiano, now in the midst of his second stint at Rutgers.

Schiano met with the media in during his weekly press conference earlier this week to preview the matchup with Ohio State and had some brief, but interesting comments about what he sees from this year’s Buckeye squad.

Thanks to the Rutgers Football YouTube channel, we’ve got the entire video for you that’s only about 11 minutes long. In it, you can hear Schiano talk about New Jersey native, Davison Igbinosun, the play of Kyle McCord, and just how talented he believes the Ohio State defense is (it’ll surprise you).

Ohio State and Rutgers will kick off at noon and we’ll have coverage prior, during, and after the game so be sure to check back and follow us often on Saturday.
