Roy Hodgson insists that he has not set an agenda for his meeting with Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish next week.
The Palace boss confirmed earlier this week that he is set to meet with Parish to discuss the future of the club, with recent reports suggesting that his own future would also be discussed, with Hodgson’s current contract set to expire at the end of the season.
But Hodgson said his own future is not something that he has set down to talk about, adding that he believes there are other matters to discuss with Parish in relation to Palace.
“I haven’t set an agenda for the meeting and neither has Steve [Parish],” he said.
“He has said for a while now that it is important to talk about the way that the club is going.
“He has an awful lot of plans with the stadium and the academy, and he wants to discuss that with me, but I don’t know where the agenda will take us.
“It is a meeting we normally have early on in the season about where we are and where we are going.
“I haven’t said for one minute that it is about me and my contract, it is a meeting about the future of the club, and if my involvement in that comes up, we will discuss it.”
However, earlier this week, Hodgson did comment on how much he is enjoying his time at Palace , having marked two years in charge of the Eagles on Thursday.
In that time, he has guided the Eagles to 11 and 12 place finishes in the Premier League, while Palace currently sit fourth in the table with seven points from their opening four games of the new campaign.
