What Roy Hodgson has said about Wilfried Zaha's future amid talk of '£55m' bid

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has opened up on the future of Wilfried Zaha amid links with Everton and Arsenal.

The Ivory Coast international is expected to make a transfer switch away from Selhurst Park this summer.

Arsenal were believed to be interested in the 26-year-old, but their move for Lille winger Nicolas Pepe has put the breaks on any move for the Palace youth graduate.

Everton have also been touted as a possible destination for the former Manchester United man, with reports on Sunday afternoon claiming Marco Silva's side have submitted a £55m bid for Zaha.

However, Palace boss Hodgson claims he is not privy to discussions regarding Zaha's future at the club.

Zaha has made clear his intentions this summer, with his brother, Judicael, demanding Palace allow him to leave the club.

Now it appears negotiations are being conducted without Hodgson and between Zaha, his representatives and Palace chairman Steve Parish.

Parish has previously spoken of his desire to keep Zaha and it has been reported Palace value him at around £80m.

"Most of what is going on with Wilfried is between him and the chairman," Hodgson told Sky Sports. "I know more from your (Sky Sports) websites so I cannot enlighten you at all."

Premier League 2019/20 opening fixtures

Zaha has made over 300 appearances in all competitions across two spells at Palace. He joined United in 2013 but made just two Premier League appearances for the Red Devils before returning to South London.
