What reported transfer target Lukas Jutkiewicz would bring to Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest have been linked with a move for Birmingham City striker Lukas Jutkiewicz.

The Reds are looking to bolster their promotion push in January with The Athletic saying Jutkiewicz is on their shortlist, as well as another player with Birmingham links in Che Adams.

Dwight Gayle and Glenn Murray are other contenders for the Reds as they seek support for top scorer Lewis Grabban with Rafa Mir looking likely to return to Wolves this month.

So what more do we know about the Blues player linked with a move to the City Ground?

Name: Lukas Jutkiewicz

Age:  30

Nationality: English

Position : Striker

Clubs: Jutkiewicz started his career with Swindon Town, before signing for Everton in 2006. He would have loan spells at Plymouth, Huddersfield and Motherwell before leaving the Toffees in 2010 to sign for Coventry City, and left Goodison Park with only one first team appearance to his name.

He would then have spells at Middlesbrough, Bolton Wanderers and Burnley, before signing for Birmingham in 2016.

By the numbers: In 150 appearances for Blues, Jutkiewicz has scored 39 goals and provided 17 assists for his team mates.

In nine appearances against Forest, the 30-year-old has scored four goals and chipped in with one assist, with his last strike coming in the 2-2 draw with Birmingham at the City Ground last season.

International caps: The striker has not got any experience in the international arena to his name in his career so far.

Strengths: At 6ft2in tall, it is no surprise that Jutkiewicz is a big threat when it comes to aerial duels. Six of his seven strikes this season have been headed goals.

The forward is able to play as either a lone frontman or as a second striker.

And with his heading ability, Jutkiewicz would also be a valuable asset when defending set pieces.
