What really happened between Jack Doherty and Lil Tjay? Livestream fight explained

A Fourth of July livestream hosted by streamer Jack Doherty took a dramatic turn after a confrontation with rapper Lil Tjay escalated into a physical altercation. The incident unfolded during a party broadcast on Kick, where the two initially appeared to be getting along. However, a series of exchanges involving a luxury watch, a chain and personal comments gradually increased tensions. The situation eventually boiled over when Lil Tjay slapped Doherty on camera. Moments later, Doherty appeared to retaliate while security attempted to escort the rapper and his group off the property, leading to a chaotic scene that abruptly ended the stream.

Lil Tjay and Jack Doherty’s playful exchange takes a tense turn

At the start of the livestream, there was little sign that the interaction would end in an argument. Lil Tjay and Jack Doherty were seen joking, laughing and talking casually in front of viewers.

Part of their conversation centered around Doherty’s Richard Mille watch. Lil Tjay appeared interested in playing rock-paper-scissors for the watch, prompting Doherty to respond:

“I ain’t runnin’ a watch. You think I’m runnin’ a watch? 500! We’ll break even!.. I like your music… Why would you even think about that?”
