What Quincy Promes has said about a Premier League transfer amid Arsenal links

Reported Arsenal target Quincy Promes has previously admitted that he would be interested in a move to the Premier League.

Reports this week suggest that the Gunners are ready to target the Ajax man in a deal that would cost around £25 million, with the forward keen on a move to the Emirates Stadium (via the Sun ).

It’s not the first time the 28-year-old has been linked to the club, with Arsenal said to have also been keen on the winger last summer.

The Dutchman scored an impressive 12 goals and provided a further four assists in 20 league games from wide areas during the 2019/20 campaign, prompting further interest in his services.

Promes was also on the scoresheet when his team visited Stamford Bridge in the Champions League back in November, in a game that ended in a 4-4 draw. The Dutchman also assisted another of his team’s goals.

It was after that match that the winger was asked about his interest in a possible move to the Premier League.

"To me, if I have a chance, maybe in the future," he said, as reported by Goal .

Promes has been at Ajax for one season after arriving back in his home country last summer from Sevilla.

Should he move this summer, it will be the third consecutive transfer window where the winger has transferred clubs.

Liverpool are also said to have been previously interested in the Dutchman, meaning that the Gunners could face competition for the winger this summer.
