It won't be 'bah humbug' behind bars at Leeds prisons this Christmas.
Prisoners will be tucking into turkey, stuffing, pigs in blankets and plenty more festive grub, according to the menus released by the Ministry of Justice (MoJ).
And there's no need to feel sorry for those convicts with dietary requirements as there's a variety of halal, vegetarian and vegan options.
We've obtained, via a Freedom of Information request, the Christmas dinner menus for all three Leeds prisons: HMP Leeds, HMP Wealstun and HMP Wetherby.
And in case you're wondering about the cost, the MoJ says: "Meals in prisons over Christmas and New Year are paid for from within the existing budget and at no extra cost to the taxpayer.
"With increased responsibilities to governors since April 2017, and devolved budgets to prisons, what is actually spent on food per prisoner per day, and the breakdown per meals, is ultimately a decision for each governor and their catering team."
You can also see how the three Leeds jails measure up to the rest of Yorkshire's prisons here.
HMP Leeds
Residents of this category B and remand prison will be eating sliced turkey crowns, halal minced beef and spinach curry, half a chicken, vegetable pasta bake or a vegan wellington with all the veg and trimmings.
There's Christmas pudding, banana and custard or yoghurt to follow.
The festive turkey dinner slice and possibly the 'phat seriously cheesy pasty' are back for tea alongside a baguette, fruit, crisps, biscuits and Christmas cake.
HMP Wealstun
Prisoners at this category C jail, near Wetherby, will be choosing from roast turkey or pork with festive trimmings or halal chicken curry, haddock mornay or a vegan wellington.
Tea includes pasties, baguette, Christmas cake and mince pies.
HMP Wetherby
We think this young offenders' institute might be the winner of the Leeds Prisons Christmas Dinner 2020 contest... if there was one.
Inmates will be offered salmon and spinach en croûte, chicken breast, a goats cheese pasta bake, or a tuna niçoise salad. Pity there's no turkey.
For tea, they can have a spiced potato salad, onion bhaji wrap, beef and onion baguette, a chilli cheese falafel wrap, tuna mayo pasta or curried noodles. There's also a milkshake, yoghurt, crisps and satsumas plus some Christmas cake.
