What Premier League schedule could tell us about Sunderland's 2020-21 fixtures

Sunderland fans have less than 24 hours to wait to find out their side's League One fixture list for the coming season.

The EFL will release the schedule at 9am on Friday, August 21, with Phil Parkinson and Co eager to find out in which order they will take on their opponents.

The Black Cats already know they will place Hull City at home first up in the Carabao Cup, with the league action getting under way on September 12.

Should the fixtures follow the traditional pattern, Sunderland fans can expect to be at home on Boxing Day (Newcastle are at Manchester City), Sunderland could start 2021 away from home.

We'll be live blogging the fixture announcement from 7am tomorrow morning,
