What Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang said to Alexandre Lacazette after signing new Arsenal deal

The wait for Arsenal fans is finally over after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's new contract with the Gunners was announced on Tuesday.

Club-captain Aubameyang had entered the final 12 months of his deal at the Emirates Stadium, sparking fears that he could leave for free next summer.

However, after opening his account for the season with the third goal against Fulham on the opening day, Aubameyang's future at Arsenal has finally been resolved as his new deal was announced.

As part of the announcement, Aubameyang was live at the Emirates Stadium and phoned team-mate Alexandre Lacazette.

"Finally, you remember when I put the tick-tock so many times? You know, it takes some time but it's finally done," he said.

"I'm glad that you are here. We're not talking in French, that's strange. I'm happy to see you and I'm happy to be staying with you for a few years.

"This is how we celebrate. You're crazy, I swear you're crazy. I'm so sorry to keep you waiting but it is done. Crazy stuff but yeah, all done."
