What phase two means for those looking to buy or sell houses in Glasgow

It's been a long few months for anyone looking to sell their home or hoping to move.

As we move into phase two of the route map out of lockdown, further guidance has been given on how the housing market will begin to restart.

Here's everything you need to know about buying or selling as we move into the next stage of the pandemic.

What does the route map say about moving house?

Under phase two, a relaxation on restrictions on housing moves will now be in place.

Will estate agents be open?

Estate agents can now open premises for business and can continue to support clients in the marketing of properties and can now open premises for business.

They should consider how and when to reopen their premises and follow the Scottish Government Guidance for businesses and employers.

Estate agents should tell customers and their own safe about their safer working procedures to minimise public risk.

When can I put my house on the market and move house?

From June 29, you will be allowed to undertake certain activities in connection with buying, selling, letting or renting a property.

This includes visiting estate or letting agents, developer sales offices or show homes.

You can also view residential properties to look for a property to rent or buy, prepare a residential property to move in, move home or visit a residential property to undertake any activities required for the rental or sale of that property.
