What Pep Guardiola said about taking Juventus job amid reports over Man City exit

Just days after completing a historic treble, Pep Guardiola has been tipped to sensationally quit Manchester City .

Reports on Tuesday night suggested the City boss had agreed a deal to replace Massimiliano Allegri at Juventus .

Allegri's exit was confirmed last week after guiding Juventus to an eighth successive Serie A title, with the search underway for his replacement.

Italian journalist Federico Gennarelli of Radio Sportiva made the sensational claim on social media that they had landed arguably the best in the business in Guardiola.

It was suggested the City boss had agreed a four-year deal, after he was claimed to have met with Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici in Milan.

Paratici was pictured outside the hotel where Guardiola is currently staying for a charity event and SportItalia reported the pair had a private discussion.

This came after speculation in Italy in March that the Spaniard would arrive at the end of the current campaign.

But it appears highly unlikely Guardiola would be willing to leave the Etihad after winning back-to-back titles.

Speaking after his side's 3-1 win over Watford , he said: "One guy says something on Twitter and everybody puts it on their pages - Pep is going to Juventus.

"I don't understand why before they say it, they don't try to call the club, or me, or my agent or Juventus.

"I have two more years and I am not going to move. It is impossible unless they sack me.

"If Man City want me, I will stay for two more years and hopefully another one. I am not going to go to Juventus for the next two seasons."

The Spaniard is contracted until 2021 and City could even offer him a bumper new deal worth £100m following an incredible campaign.

That would make his Etihad tenure the longest of his career, having spent four years in charge of Barcelona and three with Bayern Munich.

Despite City dominating English football, the Champions League continues to elude them and Guardiola has made no secret of his determination to end the European hoodoo next term.

He will likely then set his sights on supremacy in another country - but not just yet.
