What Paulo Dybala said about playing alongside Paul Pogba again amid Manchester United interest

Manchester United have held talks over a potential transfer for Paulo Dybala this summer and they might have a secret weapon in their pursuit, Paul Pogba.

Juventus forward Dybala has been heavily linked with a move away from Turin before the transfer deadline with United and Tottenham both believed to be interested.

However, United might have an advantage over any other side interested in the 25-year-old - thanks to their World Cup winning midfielder.

Dybala has remained close friends with Pogba since the Frenchman left Turin three years ago, and he has hinted at a potential reunion in the future.

United faced Juventus twice in the Champions League last season and Dybala netted the winner as the Italian champions secured a 1-0 victory at Old Trafford.

Speaking after the group stages had concluded, the Argentine spoke of his friendship with Pogba and insisted they could play again in the future.

"The first match was amazing for me, the second amazing for him," Dybala said. "We have remained in touch since he left. We're still very close and who knows, maybe in the future we can play together again."

The Juventus forward also had fans excited after the match in October last year, when he tweeted about his love for Old Trafford and expressed his gratitude for having been given the opportunity to play there.

Dybala tweeted: "The Theatre of #Dreams: To play in such historical stadiums you have to do a lot of sacrifices as a boy!"
