What Paul Pogba did after Manchester United's dramatic Premier League win over West Ham

Paul Pogba had to be dragged away after he reacted to a verbal volley of abuse from West Ham fans after Manchester United’s win at London Stadium on Sunday.

The French midfielder was walking down the tunnel after United’s 2-1 victory and was confronted by a host of the home support who lashed out at the 28-year-old.

In footage of the clash, one fan can be heard swearing at the Frenchman, telling him to shut his mouth.

Pogba was initially confronted by sections of the home support as he made his way off the pitch, and stopped to react to more vitriol as he headed down the tunnel.

He is seen holding out his arms to the abuse from the supporters before heading down the tunnel and then stopping to smile at the fans shouting at him, lapping it up after United's 2-1 win.

Eventually former West Ham midfielder and Manchester United coach Michael Carrick dragged the Frenchman away.

The finale at London Stadium was perhaps the most dramatic of the season so far, the home side took the lead in the 30th minute after Said Benrahma's deflected strike beat David de Gea, however United equalised shortly after through Cristiano Ronaldo.

The game seemed to be heading towards a draw until second half substitute Jesse Lingard, who revived his somewhat ailing career during a successful loan spell with the Hammers last season put United in front late on.

However, there was another twist in the tale after West Ham were awarded a penalty after Luke Shaw handled Andriy Yarmolenko’s cross into the box in the last minute of the game.

Hammers boss David Moyes brought on club captain and regular penalty taker Mark Noble to take the spot kick, but his effort was saved by De Gea to hand United a valuable and hard fought three points.
