What Paul Pogba did after Man Utd's defeat at Everton that made fans furious

Manchester United fans fear their relationship with Paul Pogba is now broken beyond repair .

The World Cup winner angered supporters by snubbing them at the end of United's 4-0 defeat to Everton .

The club's players are under orders to always thank the fans - especially at costly away games.

And while most went over to applaud their vocal efforts despite a day to forget, Pogba didn't.

That did not go down well and many are saying the club must sell to Real Madrid this summer as speculation increases he is off to Spain.

One wrote on twitter: "Enough is enough now this is just disrespect."

Another said: "I've always been a fan of Pogba and hes fantastic when we're winning, but when we're not his attitude stinks. I'm now thinking he's like a virus running through the squad, not the inspiration he should be. I'm afraid he needs to go."

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer apologised on his players' behalf.

"From the first whistle everything went wrong. I just want to apologise to the fans," he told Sky Sports.

"They’re the only people with the badge on today who can hold their head high, because we can’t.

"Everton were better than us at all the basics. There are so many things that we need to do better to get a result. Talent has never been enough.

"We just didn’t perform. That was not worthy of a Manchester United team.

"We hold our hands up and apologise to everyone associated with the club. We have a perfect chance to make amends on Wednesday against Manchester City ."

Gary Neville was not happy with the behaviour or the result.

"I’m furious the fact he’s had to go over and apologise for them," former United captain said.

"I’ve often said if you’ve got weeds in the garden, you’ve got to get rid of them.

"But there’s some Japanese knot weed at that football club and it’s attacking the foundations of the house, and it needs dealing with properly."
