What Patrick Peterson can and cannot do during 6-game suspension

The Arizona Cardinals will have to deal with cornerback Patrick Peterson’s six-game suspension. They need other players to step up and Peterson will be limited in what he will be able to do during the suspension.

The suspension does not begin yet so here is where he can do:

  • participate in offseason practices
  • participate in training camp
  • play in preseason games

Once the suspension begins at the start of the season, there is a number of things he cannot do.

He cannot:

  • Visit team headquarters.
  • Attend or watch practice.
  • Have contact with team personnel.
  • Exchange game plan, playbooks, plays or video from an electronic device such as a computer or cell phone.
  • Be involved in football-related activities or conversations with teammates away from the facility, including workouts.
  • Watch home or away games in the stands.
  • Attend any team or league news conferences.

He will be eligible to return October 14 after the team’s Week 6 game against the Atlanta Falcons.
