What opposition fans are saying about postponement of Newcastle United's game with Aston Villa

The postponement of Newcastle United's Premier League clash with Aston Villa has seen plenty of rival supports commenting.

The Magpies' clash with Villa, slated for Friday night, was postponed following a "significant increase" in Covid cases at United's training ground.

Newcastle lodged a request with the Premier League to postpone the fixture at Villa Park, which was approved.

The Premier League have confirmed it will be rearranged for a future date rather than Villa be awarded a walkover victory, as some suggested on social media.

Opposition fans have been wading in on the issue.

Most notably, supporters of West Bromwich Albion are now questioning whether their game against Steve Bruce's side will go ahead.

The two are due to meet at St James' Park on December 12.

Below is a sprinkling of comments from opposition fans.
