'What on earth?' - Liverpool fans react to Jurgen Klopp team news changes

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has made sweeping changes to his Reds side as they prepare to take on Fulham in the Premier League.

Rhys Williams partners Nat Phillips at the back, with Naby Keita returning to midfield and Xherdan Shaqiri coming in up top.

Mohamed Salah starts alongside the Swiss and Diogo Jota, who makes his first start since December, while James Milner is also back from the start.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho, Thiago Alcantara and Sadio Mane are all on the substitutes bench and could be used off the bench throughout the game.

This is how Liverpool fans reacted to the line-up on Twitter.

@Simphiwesanele: We need to keep quiet and let the coach do his thing. For weeks and weeks we've been crying for change well this is it Fresh new players with a bit of energy will do

@Bruicosta: What on earth is Klopp doing?!

@theKloppend2: am I the only one that likes this team? besides fab on the bench?

@ScouseSocialism: Nothing wrong with it. Trent clearly needs a rest, so does Sadio

@B_w27: why’s everyone moaning about the team when we have a champions league game in 3 days? it’s obvious our season is finished much rather go for the champions league then push for top 4

@MFAIfath: Where is BEN DAVIES when we need a CB replacement?

@DaddyBav: The sign of insanity is to keep doing the same thing an expecting a different outcome, fair play Jürgen.

@Cuppa1977: The amount of fans moaning here is embarrassing. For me, supporting the club means supporting the players too. ALL the players

Liverpool are looking to bounce back at Anfield having lost five consecutive home games for the first time in their history.
