Olivier Giroud has dropped a hint on his Chelsea future whilst discussing his impressive feats at the Blues this season.
The Frenchman has the best strike rate of any player in the Premier League ahead of the likes Mohamed Salah and Sergio Aguero.
And it was this fact that was touched upon in a recent interview with Sky Sports during which the 34-year-old divulged much more than his thoughts on an impressive 2020/21 season to date.
The forward might not have played as many league games as he would have liked but he has scored eight goals in 13 appearances in the Premier League and Champions League combined.
Giroud continues to be linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge despite his improved form of late but his recent comments suggest that he would like to be at the club for the long haul.
"I am told it is a goal every 63 minutes this season (Giroud's strike rate)," Giroud, who has been linked with Atletico Madrid, told Sky Sports. "Obviously, I am very happy with these numbers. I am the happiest man when I am on the pitch.
"We will see what happens in the next few months but I just want to keep my efficiency high.
"When I am not on the pitch, I just try to be a part of the team. I really want the best for this team and I really believe we have a big opportunity to win something at Chelsea with this great squad.
"I will just carry on like this and try to keep it up."
