What Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 'told' Jack Grealish after Manchester United display

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer piled the praise on Jack Grealish following his superb individual display against Manchester United , according to reports.

The 23-year-old struck a sensational opener for Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon as he inspired his side to an impressive 2-2 draw at Old Trafford.

As well as netting an incredible goal in the game Grealish also shone with his commanding midfield performance which saw him at the heart of Villa's fluid attacking play.

Grealish now has three goals in his last five league appearances for his boyhood club, with Villa's performances improving in quality since his recent return from a calf injury.

After the game it is reported Solskjaer bumped into the English midfielder and congratulated him on an impressive display at Old Trafford. "You were the best player on the pitch today," Birmingham Live quotes Solskjaer as saying.

Grealish has been linked with a move to United in recent week after an impressive start to the new Premier League season, but after the game Solskjaer was coy when asked whether the youngster would enhance his own squad.

"I can't talk too much about other teams' players, if they're Man United calibre or targets," the Norwegian said.

"But, fantastic goal, I think he hit one of them corners I hit a couple of times. It was a great finish, but we should defend better, show him down the left.

"But, what a goal and he played a good game."
