What NOT to do at weddings - from wearing white dress to proposing to partner

Twitter users have shared their thoughts on the worst possible blunders a person can make at someone else's wedding.

Top of the list was wearing a white dress as a guest, thereby running the risk of upstaging the bride.

The suggestions were shared in response to the Twitter user Monday Mayhem challenging people to come up with ideas under the hashtag #WhatNotToDoDuringAWedding.

Some of the worst faux pas included proposing at someone else's wedding, mentioning the bride's sexual history and even stripping on the dancefloor.

Many people took the opportunity to share some tongue-in-cheek suggestions as part of the challenge.

Gracie Lou warned against coming across as a jealous former flame by yelling 'it should have been me' at a wedding.

Scott Middleton said it would be unwise to toast to the 'lucky people' who did not have to marry the bride or groom.

One user added that it was unwise to 'kiss the bride... if you aren't the groom', while another recommended against stripping on the dancefloor.

Another warned against: "[Toasting] the bride and the groom with an announcement of your pregnancy and a hand delivered petition for child support to the groom."

A different account said it would be unwise to 'introduce yourself as the couple's future divorce attorney and pass out business cards'.

Some users also joked about holding up scorecards for the newlyweds' first dance and even starting food fights at the reception.

Many also thought it was best to avoid bringing up divorce statistics at a wedding.
