What Nicolas Pepe and Alexandre Lacazette have done in training should excite Arsenal supporters

Arsenal fans can't hide their excitement about the prospect of a new look attacking trio taking to the field against Liverpool on Saturday.

This summer has seen head coach Unai Emery beef up his attacking options which already included Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette with the arrival of Nicolas Pepe.

The Ivory Coast international enjoyed a stunning season in Ligue 1 last season with Lille and is the Gunners' record signing having cost £72m.

Following the first two games of the Premier League season, Pepe, Lacazette and Aubameyang have been on the field at the same time for a total of 26 minutes.

That could change at Anfield - with Emery hinting at a start for his record signing - and the winger has revealed a secret about him ad Lacazette which should excite Arsenal supporters.

"There's a lot of players who speak French here: Aubameyang and Lacazette who link up well," Pepe told BT Sport . It's certainly easier for me to play with French-speaking players.

"On the pitch, you can see that we look for and find each other.

"It will take some time because we don't know each other yet, but little movements show us we can find one another quickly.

"Based on how it's been in training with Laca. We've been able to find each other with our eyes shut."

Saturday's game in Merseyside could be won by either side's front three.

Liverpool's trio of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane have an excellent goalscoring record in this particular fixture, so Arsenal's defenders will be need to be at their very best.

With that said, the Reds haven't kept a clean sheet in their three games across all competitions so far this season and that could be great news for Aubameyang, Lacazette as well as Pepe should they start.
