What next for the future of Everton's Z Cars siren following huge recent success

Everton's modification to Z Cars has been a popular move over the last few weeks.

The atmosphere at Goodison Park has been a major talking point for some time now, with drab performances over the last few years leading to a less than satisfactory feel around home games in L4.

However, the recent matches have seen significant efforts from both the club and sections of supporters to improve that - and it's already clear to see they are having a significant effect on the pitch.

The forgotten Everton academy star whose journey has finally led to the Premier League

And it's now been revealed that one change in particular could well be here to stay.

The club added a siren to the start of Z Cars, akin to Tony Bellew's boxing walk-out music, ahead of the Merseyside derby at the start of March.

The move has proven to be so popular, it's stayed in place ever since - and many have wondered whether it will be a permanent addition to the pre-match routine beyond the current campaign.

The ECHO understands that full discussions are yet to take place over the long term future of the siren beyond the current campaign.

However, due to the popularity of the change to Z Cars, it's believed there is a strong possibility it will become a more permanent feature.

While fans in the Gwladys Street have brought a multitude of flags and banners recently to adorn the famous stand ahead of kick off, Everton themselves recently introduced an addition of their own to the traditional pre-match routine with the siren.

Everton secured a 0-0 draw in their match against Liverpool in which the modification was debuted - and subsequent games have seen big victories against Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United.

Many are already wondering what could happen for the future of the siren, as both players and fans have noticed a significant improvement in atmosphere as a whole since its introduction.

The latest Everton news and rumours are HERE

Everton have one Premier League game left at Goodison Park this term, with Burnley still to make the trip to Merseyside in May.

The siren will certainly be returning for that match, but it could yet prove to be an even more permanent fixture of the Blues pre-match routine.
