Notts County boss Neal Ardley has said that it did not take much to rally his troops at half time as the Magpies came from behind to beat Chorley.
It as the club extended their unbeaten run to four games.
Going into the break the Magpies looked wounded, fatigued by the hectic non-league schedule that has seen them take to the pitch twice in three days.
But from the dressing rooms they emerged a different beast and went on to notch four second-half goals as they put in what Ardley has dubbed the best performance of his Notts tenure.
"The best things really, and it sounds strange to say, was going one goal down and you could feel the anxiety around the place," said Ardley when asked what he said at half time to spark such a transformation.
"I told them that the only way we can get back into that game is if we start moving the ball.
"We lacked that change of tempo in the first half.
"We got the goal, which was a great goal and it was a great run by Jim.
"But in the second half, we just wanted them to keep what they were doing but change the pace at the right time.
"Some of the goals were exceptional and we got that tempo change right in our build-up.
"We had to keep being brave and stick to the game plan."
He added: "I am relieved. There is big pressure when you're a manager of a club like Notts County and you're playing Chorley - and that's no disrespect to Chorley.
"The pleasing thing was that at a goal down we kept being brave and playing and we got it right."
