What Mohamed Salah will do during Chelsea vs Man City as Liverpool prepare to clinch title

Mohamed Salah says it is Liverpool's "time" to win the Premier League title.

Jurgen Klopp's side are on the verge of being confirmed as champions as their 4-0 win over Crystal Palace at Anfield on Wednesday night.

Goals from Trent Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho, Sadio Mane and Salah sealed a comfortable win over Palace, and the result means Liverpool can be crowned champions if Manchester City do not win at Chelsea on Thursday.

Speaking after the game, Salah was asked how he felt about the possibility of his former side helping Liverpool to seal their first title in 30 years.

"I feel great," Salah told Sky Sports. "I think since I came here, I said I want to win the Premier League with this team, they didn't win it for a long time.

"So, it was the right time. Last year we had a chance but Man City perform also really good and they deserve to win it. It's our time to win it, it's great."

Salah was then asked to reveal if he would be watching the game between Chelsea and Manchester City.

"Play with my daughter," Salah said. On whether he would be messaging the other players, the Egyptian laughed: "I don't know."

Earlier on Wednesday, Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard dismissed the notion that he was thinking about being the team to seal the title for Liverpool.

“I have got absolutely no thought in Liverpool’s situation on this game for us, it makes no odds to us at all," he said in his press conference.

"I and we respect Liverpool and Manchester City as two fantastic teams in the last two or three seasons, they have been dominant.

"We can only look at it for what this match means to us. We want to win. We go against a great opponent and it’s the only way I see it.”
