What Mike Vrabel, Titans said after Week 11 loss to Texans

The Tennessee Titans came crashing back down to earth in Week 11 after losing to the Houston Texans on Sunday at Nissan Stadium, 22-13, snapping their six-game winning streak.

Tennessee shot itself in the foot on several occasions thanks to five turnovers, four of which came from quarterback Ryan Tannehill. When you add wide receiver Chester Rogers’ fumble on a punt, the Titans handed the Texans a total of three red zone trips on the afternoon.

The loss is almost unfathomable considering the Titans had just notched five wins in a row against 2020 playoff teams, and were 7-0 altogether against squads that made the postseason last year.

We say “almost” because we’ve seen Tennessee do this plenty of times the past few years, and once earlier this year in Week 4 against the New York Jets. Two of Tennessee’s three losses have come against squads with a combined record of 4-16.

The good news for the Titans is that they remain in first place in the AFC South and conference. The bad news is the Indianapolis Colts gained ground in the division, and the Baltimore Ravens and New England Patriots inched closer to the top seed.

Here’s a look at what head coach Mike Vrabel and select Titans had to say about their putrid Week 11 showing.
