What Mesut Ozil said after Alexandre Lacazette's late miss for Arsenal against Crystal Palace

Arsenal were held to a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon in what was their first Premier League away game of 2020.

And despite being reduced to 10-men in the second half after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's straight red card for a challenge on Max Meyer, it was the visitors who could have won the game.

The big moment came inside the final 10 minutes at Selhurst Park.

Mikel Arteta: We switched off for the goal

Receiving a pass from Gabriel Martinelli outside of the area, Alexandre Lacazette turned and found Nicolas Pepe in space to his left.

The Gunners record signing took one touch before getting his shot away and if not for a wonderful save from Vicente Guaita in tipping the effort onto the post, the north London outfit would have re-taken the lead.

However, the rebound fell to Lacazette who saw his snapshot saved by the Palace stopper.

Some Arsenal supporters felt the Frenchman should have ended his six-game goal drought and it would appear that Mesut Ozil was of the same opinion.

During that moment, Ozil was seen on camera reacting to how his teammates were getting on after being substituted shortly after Aubameyang's dismissal.

On the club's official YouTube account, Arsenal posted their regular 'Bench Cam' video, which captures every move in the dugout from head coach Mikel Arteta to his coaching staff and the substitutes.

At the 5.27 mark the Gunners no.10 can be seen reacting to Lacazette's miss.

He then appears to say "oh Laca" before covering part of his face with his hand as if to gesture that he couldn't believe the 28-year-old hadn't made it 2-1.

Speaking after the game, Arteta pointed to Pepe and Lacazette's chances as a reason for why his side were unlucky not to win.

"That's what I want to see from my team. Their reaction was really positive, they wanted to win the game, they went for it, we had three or four really good situations," he said.

"We created the best chance with Nicolas and Lacazette and we were unlucky not to win the game."
