It was a very good night for Tottenham in the Champions League as they left Red Star Belgrade with a 4-0 victory.
Hitting the Serbian side for five last time out at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, many predicted an extremely close game between the sides given their impressive home record.
A number of teams find the hostile atmosphere at the Rajko Mitic Stadium extremely hard to deal with and Liverpool, on their way to winning the famous trophy last season, lost 2-0 following two first-half goals.
However, the Lilywhites had no such problems as a double from Son Heung-min and a late strike from Christian Eriksen added to Giovani Lo Celso's first goal for the club in the 33rd minute.
The result now leaves the team in a great position to qualify for the round of 16 and they will do just that if they beat Olympiacos in their next European game.
Given Red Star tend to do extremely well on home soil, Son revealed exactly what Mauricio Pochettino said before the game and his words seemed to do the trick.
“I feel really, really good. It’s a really difficult place to play and we deserved the three points,” he told the club's official website .
“We showed a really good attitude and we can take so many positives with the clean sheet, four goals… it’s not bad to have this result.
"The gaffer spoke to us before the game (and said) that it’s a tough place and our opponents will be aggressive, and we should be ready.
"The lads were focussed, the mentality was there and that’s why we won this game.”
