Ryan Sessegnon could potentially be named in the Tottenham squad for the very first time on Sunday against Everton.
Joining the club on transfer deadline day from Fulham, the 19-year-old has yet to make an appearance for the Lilywhites due to a hamstring injury he sustained in the summer.
Sessegnon has been training with the rest of his teammates for the past couple of weeks at Hotspur Way but Mauricio Pochettino has opted against including him in a matchday squad so far.
However, his chance may come at Goodison Park given that Danny Rose is suspended for the game after picking up his fifth booking of the season against Liverpool last weekend.
Asked if the versatile player could be named in the squad, he said: "We're assessing all the players this weekend.
"We have tomorrow a session and then travel to Liverpool and we'll see if he can be involved."
With Pochettino previously claiming that both Sessegnon and Giovani Lo Celso would need time to get up to speed following their respective injuries, he has stated that the England U21 international will get opportunities in the future.
"He's there, I cannot say that he's complete in the way that we can say we trust him to play 90 minutes," he added.
"We have a big squad, it's difficult to give the possibility, but he's still young.
"He needs to work hard, he had a long period of injury, but for sure he is going to get an opportunity to play in the future.
"He came from Fulham with a massive injury, we are working hard to try to give the level.
"Always when you have a squad like we have, a big squad, you need to wait for the opportunity and be ready."
